- Continue Magic Lens Grammar - Students add parts of speech (prepositions - interjections) notes to IAN
- Assign beans for homework - Commit 2 interesting Membean words to memory: for each word, know its proper spelling, its part of speech, nuances of use (connotations), and how to use this word in a sentence. On each bean on your handout, write a chosen word IN LARGE, BOLD letters, and give the required information about the word. We will put these on the wall in the classroom.
- Selfie Narrative Due to TurnItIn.com by the start of class. Gather in Archetype Groups to Meet in your categories to design a sign for your group and hang all selfies on classroom wall. Students must also record their archetypes on spreadsheet for teacher use.
- Meet with a clock partner to discuss your “I” and “Q” notes from your KIQ chart in IAN. What have you learned about Greek theater and tragedy?
- Watch and take notes on Shmoop introductory videos for Oedipus & Antigone (the first and third plays in Sophocles’s Oedipus trilogy. Whole class synopsis: what did you gather? What connections can you make? How do the two plays seem to be related?

LG: Explore preconceptions about “fate” as a thematic element. Compare arguments from two sources on the same topic. Continue review of parts of speech through labeling sentence parts.
