Final Exam Preparation
As with all assignments conducted during digital learning this semester, the final exam cannot negatively impact your grade in any way. If you choose to complete the final exam (worth 15% of the total class grade), which will be an essay, your exam score can only help your grade. The essay prompts will be made available to you by 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18th, and the essay will be due Wednesday, May 20th at 3:30 p.m. to TurnItIn.com. No late submissions will be accepted.
Submitting Final Work
As we prepare for the end of our semester, please plan to submit all work (except the final exam essay, as explained above) completed during the digital learning time by Friday, May 15th at 11:59 p.m. to the platforms in which they were assigned. If you are turning in work, please contact your teacher directly with the assignment title(s) so your work can be assessed and added to the grade book.
Returning Things Fall Apart
You may have already heard that you can drop off your textbooks on Wednesday, May 13th (please see the details linked here). If this date works for you and your family, please also return your copy of Things Fall Apart. If you are unable to return your copy at that time, we will work on setting up a back-up plan with the school/department. Thank you!
Pre-Course Assignment
All 11th-grade English classes (American Literature, Honors American Literature, and Advanced Placement English Language and Composition) have a pre-course assignment. Please check the English Department page on the Harrison High School website (here) for assignment details. (The pre-course assignment link has not been updated for the 2020-2021 school year yet, so be sure to remember to check back later!)
